Our Sowers and Growers

A few years ago we launched our sow and grow campaign across Ireland to help kids learn to love healthy food by growing their own in school. So far, along with our friends Grow It Yourself (GIY), we’ve managed to get a whopping 155,000 kids growing veg in their classrooms.

We’ve seen some brilliant photos of little ones in school growing vegetables and posting their results on our magic growing wall here - https://innocentsowandgrow.com/#sowandgrow. The winning school, Sunday’s Wells Boys School, took their creativity to another level by recording their progress through the medium of Lego. For example, they turned their Lego storm troopers into “Sow Troopers”. Bravo, guys. Bravo.

We transported the boys from Cork to Dublin on the biggest starship we have, to attend the Bloom festival in The Pheonix Park. There they were treated like celebrities (VIPeas, if you will), with even the President of Ireland stopped by to congratulate them on their fantastic growing. They finished whole the day off at Dublin Zoo. Got to be up there with one of the best schooldays ever.
