Thoughts from November 2012

Movember - the end

The time has come, the very last day of Movember. When the clock strikes 12 our furry friends will be no more. We'll miss them (but the wives/girlfriends won't).

We're so proud of our mo bros who (so far) have raised over €1000 for a very worthy cause.

Hat of the Week - the elf vs the fruit basket

The innocent Big Knit deadline for hats is tomorrow, 30th November. We are getting lots of lots of lovely hats in to Fruit Towers. So picking this week's contenders for Hat of the Week was tough. It's Sheila's Elf versus Geraldine's fruit basket. Let us know who you think should win in the comments below.

Hat of the Week

Next week we'll be showcasing a some of our favourite hats each day so keep an eye on our blog.

Radio knit off

The innocent Big Knit is shaping up to be a huge success again this year. We have loads and loads of little hats arriving into Fruit Towers every day. The more hats we get, the more money that goes to Age Action.

This year, nine Irish radio stations got involved to help us to get the nation knitting. WLR, Highland Radio, KCLR, Midlands 103, Midwest, Shannonside & Northern Sound, Tipp Fm and Radio Kerry all urged their lovely listeners to knit for the innocent Big Knit.

A fantastic 7,402 hats have been collected from the stations. Thank you to all who got involved. The station who collected the most hats was Midwest with a whopping 2,491.

There's still time to get your hats into us here, closing date for hats is 30th November. Radio knit off

Hat of the week - the mermaid

We are obsessed with this week's innocent Big Knit Hat of the Week. This lovely mermaid was knit by Pauline from Bray. The detail is amazing with beaded seaweed and even a little smoothie bottle in her hand.

Hat of the week

Thanks to Pauline for such a great hat, an innocent goodie bag is on the way to you.
