decorate a plant pot

Plant pots. A bit boring, no? So why not give yours a makeover to brighten up your garden or house?

Step 1

Choose a blank plant pot, or a recycled container (like a plain used coffee cup).

Step 2

Paint your own design onto the side to spruce it up a little (or a lot).

Step 3

Or cut out some pictures and shapes from a magazine, then stick them with PVA glue onto the side of your pot. You can give them a nice shine by painting some more glue over the top once you’re done, and letting it dry.

Step 4

Let your imagination run wild. You can add string, use different colours of paint – the sky’s the limit.
