make some wild leaf rubbings

You probably see thousands of leaves every single day, but did you know that each one is its own mini work of art? So why not let the leaves do half the work as you make your own mini masterpieces?

Step 1

Head outside and collect some leaves with interesting shapes.

Step 2

Take them home and pop a piece of paper over one of them.

Step 3

Press down quite hard with the side of a crayon and rub all over the leaf. You’ll see the pattern of the leaf come through onto the paper.

Step 4

Try a bunch of interesting leaf patterns. You can even overlap some to make weird and wonderful collages.
