visit a local farm

If you walk down the street, you probably won’t see any sheep or cows wandering into the shops. So to catch a sight of them, you’ll have to head down to a farm. Even if you’re not living in the countryside, lots of cities also have urban farms that let visitors in. Cow-abunga.

Step 1

Look around your local area (or a bit further out if you don’t mind travelling) for a farm that lets visitors have a look around.

Step 2

Pop on some clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, and head down to the farm.

Step 3

See how many different animals you can spot. Ask any guides or staff some questions to learn more – they'll be happy to help.

Step 4

Write a story about your day out and all the different shapes and sizes of animals you saw. (Just a note: when you publish your story, the name ‘Animal Farm’ is already taken.)
